Making Sense of Points & Miles :)
FYI: Sense per Point will be off next week, on June 11th, and will return on June 18th. Thank you for reading and see you back here in two weeks! ❤️
Welcome Back!
Hope everyone is doing well 😊
I know this is supposed to go out at 3pm EST, so sorry about that! The craziest thing happened: So there’s this movie called The Odyssey (dir. Christopher Nolan) coming out, and ticketing for this happened today and was a nightmare…
Anyway, I did manage to secure tickets somehow (I spent all my luck for the year in doing so probably), and in destressing forgot to write the rest of the newsletter out in time. But I’m back on it and this is now out to you!
Ticketing for this movie is kind of like trying to get first class award availability! Ready with the mouse and ready to refresh and click immediately, only for it to get a little slow and then miss it… I got lucky this time though, and hopefully you will too when it comes to award availability!
We’re already late, so let’s go straight into the stories.
In today’s edition:
🏦 Transfer Bonuses ✈️
❄️ Atmos Members Day ❄️
💳️ Best Card Signup Bonuses 💳️
✈️ 25% Off to Europe, June Edition 📆
It’s the first newsletter of June, so as per usual, Flying Blue’s monthly Promo Rewards are back!
If you are not familiar: Flying Blue (mileage program of Air France and KLM) releases Flying Blue Promo Rewards, which are monthly promotions where routes between Europe and select destinations globally are offered for 25% off the original mileage price. Every month!
For this month, the US cities selected for this discount are New York, Houston, Seattle, Atlanta, Boston, Minneapolis, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Las Vegas! ✈️

They’ve got deals across the globe for this month as usual, with business class deals from Europe to Africa as well as Central and South America! Lots of exciting flight routes in the offers for the month!
So without these promo rewards, economy flights from North America to Europe start at 25k miles each way + taxes & fees. With the 25% off from these deals, that now goes down to 18.75k miles each way (same taxes & fees). I’ve used these deals to travel to Europe and back before too! Business class deals for this month start at 63.75k each way as well!
This month is particularly exciting because there is a 25% transfer bonus from Amex to Flying Blue! So the 18.75k each way for economy I was talking about in the paragraph above goes down to 15k if you take advantage of the Amex bonus, and 51k for the 63.75k business fares!! 51k for business class is pretty good (before devaluations, business on Flying Blue used to be 50k for these flights, so its close to that) 💸
Remember, just because these deals come from Air France and KLM does not mean you have to go to France or the Netherlands! Their intra-European network is far and wide, and as long as your origin or destination is a city selected for this month’s discounts, you’ll get 25% off, no matter the European airport involved. 🇪🇺
Exciting stuff from Flying Blue for June - happy travels if you find and book something that works for you! 🧳
🏦➡️✈️ Transfer Bonuses
A chart of transfer partners by bank, along with other information, can be found here! New transfer bonuses not present the week before are in bold. Two notes: 1) that any transfers to Avios essentially include British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Finnair, and Qatar, and 2) that if you have the Chase Aeroplan credit card, any Aeroplan transfer bonuses are 10% extra!
Bank | Transfer Partner | Bonus | This bonus ends: |
|---|---|---|---|
Chase | Southwest Rapid Rewards | 30% (1:1.30) | June 5th, 2026 |
Citi | Wyndham Rewards | 25% (1:1.25) | June 13th, 2026 |
Citi | Prefer Hotels iPreferred | 30% (1:2.60) | June 13th, 2026 |
Citi | Qatar Airways Avios | 30% (1:1.30) | June 30th, 2026 |
Chase | Marriott Bonvoy | 55% (1:1.55) | June 30th, 2026 |
Amex | Marriott Bonvoy | 20% (1:1.20) | June 30th, 2026 |
Amex | Flying Blue | 25% (1:1.25) | June 30th, 2026 |
Rove | Turkish Miles & Smiles | 50% (1:1.50) | June 30th, 2026 |
❄️ Atmos Members Day ❄️
It’s a bit of a misnomer, because the Members Day deal lasts from June 3rd to June 6th, so its like 4 Members Days. Obviously, that’s not a complaint!!
Alaska had something like this, but on a quarterly basis. I actually have no idea if they’ve removed that and introduced Atmos Members Days to replace it, but if they did, that’s great, because its now monthly instead of quarterly. Hopefully the quality of the deals stay consistent too, though.
So for the inaugural Atmos Members Day, the deals are:
Mexico City (MEX): now starting at 7,500 points
Helsinki (HEL): now starting at 15,000 points
Paris (CDG): now starting at 20,000 points
Tahiti (PPT): now starting at 20,000 points
Bangkok (BKK): now starting at 25,000 points
Taipei (TPE): now starting at 30,000 points
Book by June 6th for travel between September 1, 2026 – November 15, 2026.
These deals unfortunately are only for economy. Alaska’s Global Getaways never had business deals either, which I hoped they would introduce. Maybe Atmos Member Days will have it at some point 🤞
But these deals are not bad! I’ll take 7.5k to MEX. Also, these deals should be from anywhere in the US to those 6 locations, meaning LAX-TPE and JFK-TPE both should cost 30k points, and both SFO-CDG and BOS-CDG should cost 20k points. There are deals to be had here, especially compared to points costs at some other rewards programs as well as how high the taxes and fees get with other rewards programs! 💰️
Hope people can take advantage of these deals, and if not, hopefully other months have better deals! Atmos rewards are a Bilt transfer partner, and can also be earned via flights or spending on their credit cards!
📰 Other Stories & Deals 💰️
👎️ Alaska (Atmos) increased its partner award fees from $12.50 to $20…
👎️ Atmos also removed points earning for saver fares, booked from June 11th, and for flights from August 1st…
🛄 Delta cards now seem to offer a second checked bag for free!
💳️ Best Card Signup Bonuses 💳️
Again, the usual solid cards:
Do search for public links for the above cards to compare signup bonuses to make sure you get the highest one (incognito mode, Resy, etc.).
For cards with elevated signup bonuses (targeted bonuses are not included), I’ve got:
Card | Bonus | Annual Fee | Why Consider? |
|---|---|---|---|
100k Hilton Honors points + $100 statement credit after $2k spend in 6 months | $0 | A new elevated bonus! Not bad for a no annual fee card! | |
130k Hilton Honors points after $3k spend in 6 months | $0 for the first year, then $150 | A new elevated bonus! Should be a easy cancel in year 2 for churners. | |
175k Hilton Honors points after $6k spend in 6 months | $550 | I still think this is the single best hotel card in the market. With an elevated bonus too now! |
